This project was for the reconstruction of a 1,500 foot portion of Runway 15-33 at Fort Drum, NY. The runway was originally constructed with a 150 foot primary landing surface of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement with 25 foot asphalt shoulders.  The deteriorated PCC pavement was creating a FOD hazard and required replacement.  The primary reconstruction was in the center ‘keel’ portion of the runway along with random pavement sections that were identified by the Government for replacement.  A total of 254,400 sf of 14″ PCC pavement was replaced.
