project description

The hydrant fueling system at Offutt AFB provides the capability to load fuel onto aircraft through an underground piping system from off apron storage tanks. The project included:

  • construction of a 2,400 gpm multiple pump pumphouse
  • back-up power generator
  • truckfill station with canopy
  • (2) 10,000 barrel above ground fuel storage tanks with fixed roofs and floating pans
  • 8,000 LF of welded 12” underground carbon steel piping
  • (18) in apron hydrant fueling pits
  • 135,000 sf of concrete airfield paving
  • Demolition of (2) pumphouses, (15) underground tanks and (48) fuel pits and piping
