Project Description

SAI was Prime Contractor for the design-bid-build project that renovated and converted B252, a Cold War era aircraft maintenance hangar, into a cargo and personnel departure center for the New Hampshire Air National Guard for loading of materials and personnel during deployments.  SAI replaced the existing standing metal seam roof, removed the existing hangar doors and structurally framed the opening to allow installation of insulated metal siding panels.  Interior construction included a complete upgrade to the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to support the repurposing of the building.  An administrative office area was constructed within the hangar maintenance bay providing a modern and secure area for administrative offices, locker rooms and toilet/shower areas.
