Project Description

SAI was the turn-key subcontractor for the construction of the new Marine Corps Reserve Center including site development, building construction, mechanical/electrical and life safety systems.  This 18,000 sf facility was a design-build project with SAI’s involvement from inception of the design through final acceptance of the facility.  The design was administered by the Prime Contractor with input from SAI. 

The building is single story, primarily masonry load bearing construction with an exterior façade of brick and insulated metal panels.  The roof is a combination of standing seam metal and membrane systems.

The building includes interior spaces for administrative personnel, mass gathering for drill, training rooms and physical fitness.  The building is designed to meet current energy code and sustainability requirements including a complete building air barrier system, digital energy control systems, enhanced building commissioning.  The building achieved the sustainability designation of LEED Silver.
