Project Description

The Hydrant Fueling System at Minot AFB provides the capability to load fuel onto aircraft through an underground piping system from off apron storage tanks.

The project involves the construction a new 3,000 gpm multiple pump pumphouse, generator building, truckfill station and two 10,000 barrel above ground fuel storage tanks with fixed roofs and floating pans, the re-piping of an existing transfer pumphouse and the decommissioning of the existing hydrant fuel system and underground fuel tanks.

Approximately 11,000 LF of 12” underground stainless steel pipe and 3,000 LF of 8” carbon steel pipe connects the pump house and the seventeen fueling pits that are installed in the existing parking apron.
