Project Description

The Hydrant Fueling System at McConnell AFB provides the capability to load fuel onto refueling tanker aircraft through an underground piping system from off apron storage tanks. The project involves the construction a new 2,400 gpm pumphouse, truckfill station and two 10,000 barrel above ground fuel storage tanks.

Approximately 7,000 LF of 12” underground stainless steel pipe connects the pump house and the twenty fueling pits that are installed in the existing parking apron.
